MEET THE FACILITATOR

DR. GAIL CLOUD

Dr. Gail Cloud is the author of Therapist's Daughter: A Memoir in Verse, and a chiropractor, astrologer, and family systems facilitator. Her passion is helping you to become and be your best self.

WHY POETRY

and not prose?

You'll learn to use very few words to paint vivid pictures of your story. The essence is captured in descriptive imagery, getting to the very heart of your life's message.

WORKSHOP FORMAT

Please note: The accompanying workbook, included with your workshop registration, is for use both on your own and at the workshop. It is designed to help you with this process.

We will all listen to one another's poems and offer a few comments of only positive, constructive reflections.

PART ONE

Out of the Shadows

Together we will explore the first few poems of Therapist's Daughter, using them as guides to "bring out from the shadows" issues and memories from our own stories.

PART TWO

What is Your Story?

Next we will take 40 minutes to write your own story as prompted from what comes up for you through both the Therapist's Daughter poems and PDF workbook.

PART THREE

PART FOUR

Reveal Your Story

Finally, you will have the option to read your poem, your story. The intent is to support you in the process of writing your own memoir — whether in prose or in verse.
